When they reached out, they didn't have a website-only a Facebook page-and wanted a professional online presence that reflected their craftsmanship, community focus, and dedication to veterans. They envisioned a site that was promotional yet personal, something that could grow with their business and showcase their impact.
The main challenge was starting from scratch. With no existing website, content, or product descriptions, I needed to build a foundation for both design and messaging. Additionally, the client wanted to highlight their partnerships with veteran programs and needed a clear way to share that story. The goal was to balance their commercial products with their community-driven initiatives while maintaining a cohesive, professional aesthetic.
I began by defining a structure that would support both product sales and storytelling. During discovery, I identified an opportunity to spotlight their community contributions through a branded program-the Honor Stone Initiative. I developed the name, concept, and positioning for the program to give their outreach efforts a dedicated identity.
From there, I designed and developed the entire website on BigCommerce, ensuring it was easy to navigate, visually strong, and optimized for product presentation. I also crafted compelling product descriptions using a mix of AI-assisted writing tools and manual editing to bring out the unique qualities of each stone. The site design emphasizes authenticity, craftsmanship, and heartfelt storytelling-elements that reflect the company's values.
