Omni Gaming was a local gaming hub in Colville, WA - a welcoming space where kids and adults could come together to play board games, Dungeons & Dragons, arcade games, and video games. The owner, Justin, also offered 3D printing services, selling custom figurines and gaming accessories through an online store. As a lifelong board game enthusiast, this project resonated deeply with me, combining two of my passions: gaming and design.
The existing Shopify website was outdated, visually cluttered, and difficult to navigate. It didn't reflect the energy and community spirit of the physical space or make it easy for visitors to find information about upcoming events or shop for products. Justin needed a modernized website that clearly explained what Omni Gaming offered while staying easy for him to maintain.
I redesigned the site with a refined, game-inspired aesthetic that balanced fun with professionalism. I restructured the navigation to highlight the main areas of interest - Events, The Space, and Shop - so users could quickly find what they were looking for. I also streamlined the product listings and improved the layout for mobile users, ensuring the ecommerce experience was simple and enjoyable.
In addition, I provided Justin with guidance on updating his site and managing products in Shopify so he could easily maintain it on his own.
The new site captured the heart of what Omni Gaming represented - community, creativity, and play. Justin was thrilled with how much easier it was for customers to explore the space online and stay updated on events. Though the shop eventually closed, I'm proud to have contributed to a project that celebrated the joy and connection gaming can bring to people of all ages.
